EFAP is an effective resource in lessening the impact of personal problems in the workplace, while still enabling managers to be effective leaders. HumanaCare executives offer confidential phone or face-to-face consultations, to coach managers caught up in challenging employer circumstances. Sometimes, the situation requires a program referral of an employee, by a manager.

First-contact referrals made by managers to HumanaCare are proper and aligned to goals for employee wellbeing. The management referral is the first step toward helping a troubled or difficult employee deal with problems, and toward their eventual return to work as a contributing member of the organization.

This intervention process is aligned to generally-accepted accepted business management practices.
